GLC Attempt

I have about 1/2cup PC'd water in a pint jar and tomorrow morning when its cooled down im going to put the jar in a g/b with another jar that has a tiny bit of WBS (like thumbnail sized chunk colonized) and im gonna open the lid and take the small chunk out of the WBS jar (smaller than 1/2pint jar) and transfer to the PC'd jar of water to shake up and suck into sterile syringes of mycelium water.
Should i just iso down a glove on my hand and grab the mycelium ball and transfer straight to the jar of water, or flame down a utensil like some tweasers or something and use that? It seems like a flamed utensil would damage the mycelium.

rub a freshly cleaned spoon with alcohol.
if your mycelium ball is exposed to air this may not be the way to do it.
why not just inject water into the jar with your myc ball.
no need to do it in open air.

because its not fully colonized at all...there is more than just the colonized ball and there isnt even a silicone injection port there's only micropore tape holes for injection ports. i guess squirting a bunch of sterile water in there and sucking it back out would probly be the best way.

I gotta give it to u, (god damn it) but that is a good idea. I dont
like lcs but Iv always wanted to try some myc water safely, I like
that so much Im gonna try it.

Sounds like a harder way to do it than the tek

Im just gonna squirt some sterile water onto the mycelium in there and suck back out per the GLC tek. The reason i was about to perform open jar surgery was because there is only a chunk which is colonized. A lot of it is uncolonized. But that shouldn't matter. The only thing that matters to me is the jar doesnt have a silicone injection port just micropore holes. So im gunna have to be careful when aspirating it back out/shaking it up to disperse mycelium in water.

its very hard to do GLC without a port.
in my opinion

thats the whole reason why i made this post. i prep'd this jar before i had silicone so there is only a hole on each side with micropore tape over em. so i was literally trying to just open the jar lid in a glovebox and transfer just the colonized ball to sterile water but its just too much open jar surgery. im going out to buy a 60cc syringe in a min and will squirt sterile water in thr, slap a new piece of micropore on the hole stir hopefully without getting any water thru the micropore holes, and aspirate back out and into the main jar of sterile water like the GLC tek says. i got several more GLC jars prep'd with silicone injection ports and tyvek filters inoc'd with MS though..which are taking forever to germinate

It went pretty good for having micropore holes. I now have some milky water with tiny tiny chunks of wbs in it though. I already aspirated it into 5 syringes and will be inoc'n many jars. I love GLC

Nice to hear that. I will be inoc'n many jars ASAP which will all hopefully germ very quickly. I been getting sick and tired of waiting for MS to germinate and get going. It seems the rye in my jars is almost too dry or someshit but its just MS taking forever im guessing. Seriously though, i might not even take another print or make another spore syringe ever again. I can just inoc another GLC and make 50 syringes of more sterile, mycel water from it.
