need to slow down rye coloniztation

Is it ok to put rye jars (colonized) in fridge to slow down growth rate. I dont have a substrate ready and have a couple more jars i wanted to innoc. with at the same time but they arent colonized enough yet to transfer.

How colonized are they and how much longer do you need before you do something with them?

three are fully colonized and have 4 others that had transfer 2 days ago (Pints). Prob need a week to get substrate ready.
