I was wondering how long I can save my steralized jars before inoculating.Do I need to put tape over the needle holes or just leave them open. Also, what temp. range should I store them in?Thanks for any help.

what kind of substrate did you use... if you used BRF with Verm, then you could waite 3 weeks. But keep in mind that you may risk drying them out.
After innoculation, store them in 89f for incubation.
If your just storeing them, put them in a cool place.

86*F is the magical number for optimal mycelial growth . A range of 82 - 88 is acceptable though . This is for germination of spores and incubation of jars till birthing into a chamber . PS Inoculate those jars ASAP , the longer they sit around the more likely a contam will set in . Keep the tape over the holes the entire time even after inocing , use micropore tape and some c02 will escape thru it .

If this is your first time, you can wait three days to note any discoloration in your jars. This way you can see if your technique is sterile enough, and not waste a spore syringe on a jar that would have contamed anyway....

pitdawg is totally right-but if you have to wait more than a week than put them in the fridge for the time being, take em out and innoculate them!!
