What can I use as spawn material?

Hi guys,
My jars of WBS are finally fully colonized, and I am planning to spawn them into something.
I read that manure and compost are the best, but couldn't find any after I've searched the whole city!
Buying them online isn't as economical as I thought due to the heavy weight + I need them ASAP!
Is there any other material that is almost as good as manure and compost?
Right now I have potting soil and coir at home, can I use them instead?
---BTW, is sterilization important during spawning?
Do I need to sterilize the spawn material? or can I use them straight out of the bag?

Search: Elementary Coir Tek. That's everything you need.

Wow, thanks!
I guess my question now will be "Can I do the same thing but in trays?" I live in a studio apartment and I don't have space for tubs like that in my house...
Also, how is the yield for this tek? Coir doesn't seem to be very nutritious.(personal opinion)

Yes. For the most part. You need to use the search though. You'll find yourself in a never ending pot ofbinformation if you keep clicking the links at the bottom of the thread

Yea, trays will work fine for that recipe. Basically, any bulk substrate can be switched from apparatus to apparatus as long as you're clean with your methods, provide proper environment, and provide proper moisture.
And if you're worried about coir lacking nutrition, then get some manure. Manure/Coir/Verm/Gypsum is my favorite recipe but you have to work with what you got. You might wanna try Coir/Verm/Chopped Straw and if you can get your hands on some composted chicken manure throw a dash of that in with it.
Although, you want your main focus to be on getting your environment optimal and stable. Tuning and locking in your fruiting conditions will provide you with premium results even with the simplest of substrates. I have gotten veil-to-veil pinsets with nothing more than coir and timothy hay (which is far from optimal) b/c I provided the casing with the proper environment.

Should mention: for the love of god, don't use potting soil! Too many chemicals are added to that shit(lol). If you go the route of Coir, which I'm doing as we speak, add gypsum and coffee. And the Glad or store brand "Deep Dish" containers work awesome for casing (props to magash for that one).
