Need advice on my colonizing tray (Pics!)

Here's my tray made from 2 1/2pint cakes crumbled into a tray with coir/verm microwave sterilized. Have saran wrap over the top with 5 holes poked in it, covered with "waterproof medical tape" not sure if this is micro pore or not. It took about a week to get to this point. Look like everything is going good? What should I do to it next? I'm a little concerned about the "puffy" looking B+ myc where as in the jar it looked more stringy like a muscle or something.
Up close of the puffy myc

The tray

Underneath looks AWESOME!

I am no expert, but I spawned to coir about 4 days ago, and my myc that was on top looks puffy like yours. I am not concerned. It looks really white and healthy to me. I was thinking it was because there is more oxygen on the top, and in the jar there is much less. Just my opinion. Maybe someone with more experience will come along and say we are screwed... time will tell. good luck..

It looks healthy to me. The bright white is a good indicator of that. The reason it's growing more splotchy may be due to how big or small the crumbled chunks were and how well mixed throughout they are. I recently cheese grated 12 half pint jars using the side that makes taco cheese sized shreds. Ended up with a mountain of spawn which colonized a Damions 5050 recipe of bulk in 4 days. The more colonization points the better.

im no expert either, but i would break up the myc. more and add it to a smaller tub where it can colonize quicker. looks good though.

So should I let it colonize 100% before i case it and stick it in the SGFC? Also what do I do if the substrate becomes a little dry? Can I just open it up and mist it while it's still colonizing?
