Quick ? about Ps. Cyanescen mycelium distribution!

I have a few colonized brf jars of cyanescen mycelium from a few months ago. I was thinking about taking the one of the cakes and grinding it up in water in a blender, filling a milk jug with the "mycelium water" and pouring that over bark in various public places. Any thoughts on whether this will work or not?

Yea I read here somewhere that people do similar stuff though, also I've seen a lot of posts about guys who throw their spent cakes/trays/casings into their compost bins and then next thing they know they have mushies poppin up everywhere. I would REALLY love to get some cyans, I'm going to start my own cultivation soon with probably cambodian cubies. Are the cyans that much harder to grow?

I know! I love me some cyans. They are harder than cubes because you cant grow them inside really and they have to be spawned to wood chips. Also they pretty much only grow in the fall XD

I believe Stamets mentions doing something similar to this in one of his books but I doubt he was spreading actives.

Can't be grown inside? why not? I'm pretty sure you could create the same conditions inside as is outside? Educate me please.

Spray them around your favorite grove of trees They are one of the best for fighting of parasitic fungi from attacking the live trees... This is assuming you live near to where they naturally grow in the "wild"

They can be grown using a wine cooler and other means of temperature control but in general they will do a lot better outside using less effort.

I think there is some confusion here between Psilocybe Cyans and Paneaolus Cyans.
The Psilocybe Cyans have historically had extrememly poor results with indoor cultivation. They are wood lovers and require some currently not understood conditions to fruit.
The Paneaolus Cyans CAN and ARE cultivated indoors on a regular basis. It takes a little different method to make it happen, but It is completely "Doable".
EDIT: Grammar

Are pan cyans just as potent as psi. cyans?

Inbe4 strain thread. And depending who you ask they are close to being the same potency. If I recall Ps. Cyan is more potent when fresh then pans and pans are more potent dried then ps cyans because of the psilocybin and psilocin ratios.

Cool man, thanks for the info. I'm interested in trying some psi. cyans one day, they seem mystical.

I would have thought this would work and have considered similar. Recently opted to bury some cakes under outdoor woodchip debris so similar in a fashion.
Be sure to check out A few notes on spraying spores to start patches, mycelium water mooted there to be far more successful than just spores (as the difficult germination has already taken place) and mycelium water is certainly what you would have on your hands!
