Is it worth my time to run around playing with shit? Literally...

Looking to get into bulk grows and I have all these types of poo readily available at my fingertips (ew).
Moose, Bear, Deer, Elk, Rabbit, Horse, Jackass, Alpaca, Llama and I'm sure there is probably more but these are the definite ones I can go find in a heart beat.
I know hpoo is regarded as the go to poo but would it be worth my time to experiment with all these others and post the results or is poo essentially...just poo?
If anyone has some info it'd be great. I'd love to post experiments if it would be worth my time. I'm not sure if the diet of the animal is important but consistency probably is. For the dryer poop like deer/elk/rabbit I could easily add liquid and mash it all up.
Hope I get some information out of this and no one takes me for a .

Sorry I can't help you with poo-tek, but I would like to mention that you are going to need an isolate to work with. If you want the data to have any type of validity to it. GL

Sure it's worth your time, just don't forget to leech it if it smells like ammonia. I've read that most dung works, it's just we like h-poo due to it's consistency.

One thing I do hear from my poo loving friends is that a grass fed animal makes better poo than a grain/corn fed animal. For cubes that is.

Thanks for the information. I've been reading up on working with isolates on agar, I believe that's the right terminology anyway.
I have a lot of money coming my way soon and hopefully can invest in an All American PC.
In regards to diet that makes me wonder what the bear poo would be like. Fish, red meat, berries and garbage makes for interesting poo.

Hopefully in the near future I can work with the various poos for fun.

I know for me , I am a bit of a newbie, but tried a couple different poos. I tried cow, pig, chicken and horse poo.
I just find that hpoo is really clean, has no smell, does not attract a lot of flies, and generally is an easy product to work with. Kind of stuff that you don't mind getting your hands dirty in or stuck to your shoes.
I just found for me, something about hpoo tended to give me the best flushes with the least problems with contams.

Your poo is best from a grain fed animal as these are what the mushies like but (most) any poo will work. Horse digest something like 30% of there food when they eat and generally have very poor digestion so what comes out the other end is pre-digested grain/hay/grass packed together. Compare this to the richer texture of cow manure who digest around 50% of what they eat and in theory should be 30% less interesting for mushies. Not saying they wont do well on both and comparable they might do the exact same. The 1st thing you will want to do is test the pH values of the dried poo that you will be working with so you know what to add to balance everything. Dont get sawdust or cedar chips w/ your poo!

Exactly.

I have one of those pH testers that you put 3-5 drops of the solution in and compare the vial of liquid to the chart on the dropper. Would I just put a lil' bit of poo in some water and go from there? Or is there a different method for testing dry poo.
Forgive me.

Forgive me.
I use a tester for soil something similar to this but i got mine on ebay for 1/2 the price. You can get the cheaper liquid testers but they allow for continual use for a one time price like the digital ones. I'm not sure if you would be able to use a pool test kit if that is what you have.
