Need an opinion on my setup

I have one box that is 2 1/2 Ft. by 1 1/2 ft. with about 3 feet to grow up. I put holes in the top of my box and have purchased 1lb of Brown Rice Flour, 8QTs of Vermiculite, and an order of Magic Mushroom Rye Berries Spawn Substrate. I have about 7 Mason jars and have read the guide on the website. I plan to use the substrate as the flooring for the box and then put my cakes scattered around. Also need some help with identifying whether or not my mushrooms are active.
Also forgot to mention that I ordered Psilocybe Cubensis Ecuador syringe.

Use grain to spawn to rye berries, not brf cakes. Also you dont want to use the sub as a floor when you spawn to bulk, you want it all mixed together.

I'm a bit confused. Are you doing bulk or are you doing the PF tek?

Well what I was thinking about doing was growing bulk but also have the cakes growing amongst it. The cakes would be on a block so that the mushrooms can grow from under the cake. I do not know whether or not this will give me a bigger yield from it or not.

Just do a mono tub for bulk
& use www.mushroomvideos.com & watch the PF tek & use that for cakes.
You can use cakes as spawn for bulk substrate, too.
I wouldn't recommend putting cakes on top of a mono tub.

Thank you very much. Are there any strain of Magic Mushrooms that are the best for cultivation? Or supply the most amount of yield.

no. Isolating is a great way to find a good yielder.
I take my quickest colonizing MS jar & G2G that to 10 then G2G 2 of those to 20 & so forth for about 4 generations.
It's not a true form of isolating, by any means, but it's effective enough to change yields from 4 oz for a first flush to 10 oz first flush.

Hey TL, have you found that a fast colonizer is usually a heavy yielder?
I do the same thing with my G2G's, but I'm not sure if thats what I'm finding.

Yes, that's what I've found, in regards to MS, at least.
