"rolling" a tray
    #14714723 - 07/04/11 08:55 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Hey everyone, so i was making up a tray the other day and realized that i had no verm to mix in with my coir. I was forced to spawn to straight coir. I know this is not optimal, do you think i would benefit from dunking the tray and coating it with verm so i can mist it like a cake?

People use straight coir in monotubs without problems, although I have seen it refered to as 'a one flush wonder'

I wouldnt bother applying vermiculite to the top of your tray, it will fruit just fine without.

I use monotubs, with no casing and it works out okay

yeah i usually do monotubs as well but i usually mix verm into the substrate. I did straight coir once and it sucked imo. Very dry looking and not as many fruits
