Hi people, I need some help. So i dried my shrooms , but just halfway , and then i had a problem and had to hide them.So i put them into the fridge overnight, and planned to dry them another 12 hours todaz. But after a night in the fridge they kinda turned black and blueish , are they still ok to eat? Did they lose their potency?

Thank You

Do not bump your posts until 24 hours later.
They look heavily bruised though im surprised they look like that after just 12 days in the fridge. ive kept mushrooms in the fridge for 4-5 days and they just slowly dried out.
I would make tea with them, i just hate eating shrooms yuk and now they look like that i just couldnt get them down.
Wait for a few more responses but i think they would be fine

Okay, thanks man. Didn't know about bumping threads ,sorry for that. Yeah I've also kept them in fridge normally for days, but this time I think the problem was they were half dried. Let's wait for some more responses.

Go to your local craft store and buy some desiccant (silica-gel). It is used for drying preserving flowers, so any craft store should have it.

I'd like to add that silica gel and friends work best after the shrooms have dried considerably, even though these substances can contain a large amount of water, and some of them are even reusable, they still tend to do a fairly bad job of drying very humid shrooms.
But for long term storage they be most awesome
I'm using bags of Potassium chloride (500 grams cost next to nothing and will last VERY long if used in a small airtight container with dry shrooms).
