My new bulk grow! Please read

Hey everybody i am just now getting started on my second grow and i have 8 half pint jars of Golden Teachers and 7 Treasure Coasts and 7 Nepal/Chitwan. All the jars are BRF cakes. I am planning on doing a bulk grow using a monotub. Here are a few questions i have:
1. Does anyone have any comments/concerns/tips on the strains i have?? 2. What size tub do i need for 8 half pint jars and 7 half pint jars? 3. Where do i buy the tubs from? 4. What color tubs are the best?
*Note i have just started colonization

You will need alot more then 7 cakes for a monotub.
I suggest spawning them to a clean ice cream container at a 1:2 ratio..
one 250ml cake = two 250ml jars of bulk material.
The deeper the substrate, the larger the mushroom. I never ever liked the results from fruiting cakes individually, you can triple the yield by spawning as well as lower the fruiting requirements relative humidity to 80% rather then struggling to keep it at 99% for best performance.

Yeah, the mono tub thing is quite silly. I've spawned BRF cakes with good
results, but not into a monotub. I guess what you have to figure out is,
what sized container you would use that would give you 4 inches of substrate.
At roughly 15 pints? That was at a 2-3:1 ratio

With 7 cakes and a spawn ratio of 2:1 you have about 5 liters of spawn find a small tote and do a mono in it using damions coir tek
Ill be super nice and even post the links Either of these tubs With this coir recipie
And you will be golden
BTW your not suppose to your own thread within 24 hours

no one answered because cakes should be kept as cakes. no one wants to see you ruin 22 cakes.
monotubs apply to almost every other substrate EXCEPT brf cakes. a bulk tray in a SGFC is even kinda pushing it for a beginner.
brother, if i were you, which i am not, i would birth, dunk, roll, fruit, harvest, re-dunk, re-roll, re-harvest, continue.
as a newb, try to stick to using cakes as they are supposed to be for a while. youll be happy you did, i promise.

Yes, yes i have done the BRF cakes in a fruiting chamber before with 8 cakes of B+ and for some reason it did just not do it for me. The yield averaged about 6 gs dry per cake which was only enough for me and a few friends to have fun for a couple weeks. However now i am trying to do a little more of a bulk grow to get a much greater yield.
Thank you.

You want better yields? Get away from brf cakes, go to grain.

stepping away from your faithful SGFC is quite the transition, and colonization takes a bit longer, you once you understand it, you're golden.

I would keep them as cakes and fruit them as cakes....except one jar of golden teacher. While these jars are colonizing you should read up on grain prep, bulk spawn a and mono tubs. Use the left over pf jar to do your first grain to grain transfer by breaking it up and transfer ing it into grain jars. You will have two grows going and have made the jump from pf jars to bulk spawn.

There are a few wild bird seed(WBS) teks that will help you. It's good to work with and available almost everywhere. Otherwise rye berries work well also but sometimes cost more depending on where you live.

Try to find RR's grain prep or use something like http://www.shroomery.org/9030/Docs-Wild-Bird-Seed-Tek Docs WBS tek. I have
used it with success everytime. I use tyvek and poly fill but I think some
people use one or the other. It works. Shake after 9-10 days, then you will
be golden. Its not that hard. Its faster than BRF, and works way better
for spawn, plus you can do grain to grain transfers. I have never seen
anyone try a transfer from a BRF cake to grain, but I'm sure it would
work if you were sterile enough.
I mean, you can use a cheese grater, and grate your cakes into spawn, it
works, but for a mono tub, its questionable. If you are worried about
getting results, stick to proven methods. Once you are comfortable, and
aren't worried about getting fruits as much, then play around.
Good Luck
