    #14705375 - 07/02/11 04:23 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

I need to know, if Mimosa hostilis seeds are legal to be shipped into australia through the mail. And what are the risks of doing so?

I need a fast reply, thanks for any help

i can't say definitively , but i can tell you customs are real gung ho these days. i've never been able to get any seeds or plant material through.
they even confiscated a tribulis/zma and other supplements i ordered from poland , thinking it was steroids . {stupid bastards}.
personally , i'm not gonna get any further on thier shit list !

This is an article that explains the situation with Acacia confusa and Mimosa hostilis in Australia:

Pretty sure Australia has plenty of Acacia trees, just like South East Asia. Haver you tried looking for some locally?

Isn't Mimosa hostilis a nasty invasive species? They keep out foreign seeds/animals for a reason...

I think in Latin and South America, Mimosa hostilis provides support for the soil and prevents soil erosion, provides good shade for people and animals and provides feed for livestock in times of drought.
