Lil' crop of mushies - 2nd flush - eye candy :::)
    #14702060 - 07/01/11 02:07 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Ain't much but they're mine - and in the midst of several crop fails it's nice to have some fruiting grain. :yinyang2:

Starting new stuff, watch the grow logs for a big Floridian project I'm getting into.

Oh yeah, Wild Texan, 4th grow, long term spawn (innoc with agar wedges back in late March, cased, put up pins within days of introduction to FC).

:peace:PS

Nice grow!

Although I think that you should have waited a little more before exposing your tray to fruiting conditions: some parts of the sub looks uncolonized... You may have got more yeild

:orly:

Uhm, 3 months run on the rye jar before casing.  What looks like a bit of raw sub was a side pin splitting the substrate and creating a gap, I think.  My strain was running weak of late so I'm going back about 6 months in time to a stored slant.  110g fresh, anyway.

Hey I just started a tray yesterday exactly like that one, made out of glass. Curious if there was a tek or something - I'm still very new at this and would be awesome to have results like that!

Tek?  Nah, it's just what I started doing probably back in the '90s after trying a number of different tray materials.  Still have a mess of those pyrex loaf pans, and when all else fails  they tend to work.  Good for casing straight grain - just 50/50 peat/verm with some gypsum and limed to pH8.8.
