@Lord, Cheers for that. Will have to keep the eyes pealed. I have spending a bit on time on the way back from a surf but still only those two subs. I did find some other funny ones that a mate tried last year. More conical with a really thin stem with lighter gills. I guess i have just been looking in the wrong spots for subs. What are your thoughts about this weekend?

actually can anyone tell me if spores can still be collected from dry subs? or have they all been dropped already?

You cant get spore prints from dried shrooms so I assuming most of the usable spores have been released or dried up?.

RR (one of the mods over in the cult section) had a tek that could regrow mushrooms from just a few specks of dust in a bag though so it can be done, it's just difficult and requires fairly advanced techniques.

In other words, just stick with fresh if you want spores/prints/water.

:peace:

ok thanks austrip, am really looking to set up a backyard patch, have i think a perfect spot that gets barely any sun, is constantly damp and dingy, ill just play around with the substrate.

oh well, looking forward to fresh air and a good hike, whether i find anything or not, and wait for the next flush for some spores. Depending on the mm over the next week and the overnight temps... but all is lookng good this July.

Cheers VecAndSally & wiscokid, love putting the pics up  i feel selfish being the only one enjoying what im seeing lol

@Vec, yeah the forcast is looking alot wetter then it has been this past week  good times ahead!! (again)

I've found it very difficult to get a decent print off dried shrooms, it has been either very feint or non existant, i only pick them if i def know they are active and not fussed on making spray or anything from it
