Found one growing in the garden bed of my work smoko area today.

Awesome!

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening,
terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in
this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the
religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and
learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;
chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.
Think for yourself.

The traffic in this thread seems to be slowing down a lot faster than the season, just saying.

now that you know they grow there, make a spore print or hundred, make a little spore water in a little 2 dollar shop water pistol or feeding syringe and spray the area so that way next year will be more interesting for ya!
arrive early to work, or stay a little late and pick away.

Hey guys.

I'm new and only getting around to going for a hunt now. How are we doing for the season? Over or do we still have a month or two left?

Cheers

the two patches in parks near me that i use are dying. hardly anything there anymore. we're expecting some rain this week. hope they'll shoot out after that!

'what goes up must come down', we will get similar conditions later on in the year that we experienced earlier when climate was perfect. the flushes wont be as epic but still in good numbers. theres no exact end to the season it all depends on what the climate wants to do.

so during unwanted climates they stay dormant? even in summer? and when it rains and drops to around 5 degrees they will shoot up? do the patches still work climate after climate?

yeah when i conditions arent right they just stay dorment, maybe a little mycelium growth but im not sure about that during summer.

it depens on what the tempreture is at first, the main thing is to know the season ends around september so if we arent getting cold rainy days then there most likely be not many subs around.

yeah they should work climate after climate although they can go a bit quiet if its a small patch and its just had a big flush.

anyone correct me if im wrong

makes sense! my patch grows along a fence, stretching about 6 meters in all directions. everytime i go there, there's at least 30. except for last week when we hadn't had low enough temps. is there anything i can sprinkle around to boost them up?

Hey guys, new to the world of shrooms, have not even tried them before. I was wondering if anyone can point me to a decent guide to beginning the hunt. I've looked for guide before but had some serious trouble finding an australian focused one. Additionally, any other tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

where abouts are wot located? start by making sure what you want to find. when i started i posted many different id requests without knowing anything. learn what you're after. plenty of info on here. if you're here in melb, wait for a decent rain then give them a couple days and go out and hunt. large local parks are good. but i found my first patch behind a preschool which was only a small area. garden beds are good. anywhere with heaps of dead leaves. they like to grow under long grass away from the sun

I was new to it all a few months ago. I would recommend Paul Stamets Psilocybin mushrooms of the world. It has a general list of Australian shrooms in it along with ones from all over the world. Very helpful in identifying them and their deadly lookalikes. If you wanna know where I got my copy Pm me.
