Sorry to hear that happened to you, hope things work out for you soon. I like what McKenna said, that if he tripped 3 to 4 times a year he felt that was more than enough, all things in moderation. The point of a trip is to come back again having learned something. When I was younger I hit drugs pretty hard, but now I trip about 3 times a year and thats it, I'm looking for quality over quantity. I think your advice is good, mixing drugs has lead to some bad experiences for me as well.

i'm really sorry to hear about your experience, and thanks for the info. i, for one, have done a decnet ammount of drugs, but i haven't mixed to many and was thinking about shrooms and vicadin (sp?) as a possablility someday, which is out of the question now. i had a friend who was on lsd and had a similar experience and problem now, but for a different reason; one of ours said she would watch her, took her to a friends house who happened to dislike my friend who was tripping and decided to do fucked up things. the next time i saw her she had deep scratches from her own nails all over her face and is very VERY paranoid and panicy. i hope things get better for ya

thanks for the warning. in my first year of college, i would get panic attacks all the time, for absolutely no reason at all. the sweating, the tight chest, shortness of breath, horrible fear etc. now knowing that certain types of drug use might make them reappear, i'm certainly going to be more careful.

It is very cool of you, and very kind, to offer help and advice to others like this, when you are facing some difficulties yourself.
Years ago, I had a friend who experienced a very similar set of events, with a similar reaction. He did seek some medical help, and the doc prescribed some tranquilizers to help him through. But the real truth is that his mind and body cured itself over time, and it did take a number of weeks, but he finally got back to normal. So, continue to assume that your mind and body are resilient, and that you will be fine. Just give yourself time to heal.

i agree, mixing drugs or even just one drug can be a bad thing.
id say the only thing that is safe to do is something like pot andf drinking but i dont do either one of thiose anymore.
just be safe and dont mix things..... ur not invincible... u only THINK u are!

I had somthing similar to that but not so bad and i got out of the panic. I havent dosed mushrooms since then tho.
Mushrooms probably showed you things about you and your life that is kind of hard to accept or deal with. In my case i had kept it all tucked away in denial till mushrooms really slapped me in the face with the truth. I dealt with it and i feel im such a bette person now.

Geez, you just freaked out and had to go to the er, wow. That's so incredibly lame. I've OD'd and ended up in the ER because my heart was out of control when I did too much speed, but I'd never just figure I'm tripping and I'll go to the er till it stops. Maybe you can get a script of xanax or klonopin out of it though.

Thats tru, its not good to mix drugs. However, taking some vicodin or valume if ur having a bad trip can really turn it around, and/or calm u down a lot and relax u.
Of course everyone reacts differently to drugs.

I feel a bit like you do, co2. My situation isn't really a lot like yours, because yours was based on a back condition. I basically live every day thinking I'm dying of brain cancer. I am so insane over it I can't explain. And at night, when I lie in bed and look around the room, I see shit that's not there, like once a spaceship which flew straight at me, to the point that I ducked, thinking it was real. And this is without taking any drugs within the past couple days. I haven't done any drugs (even pot) in two weeks and last night came close to having a panic attack (I had about one giant week long panic attack a couple weeks ago, in which I didn't go to school and had a ton of tests done). I'm so paranoid of dying all the time, all I ever do is check my heartbeat. And I'm twitching like mad right now.
