I would imagine this comes to the table a little late, but as they say, "better late than never."

Fracking is so fucked up.
Combine that with drilling for oil and chopping down the trees like there is no tomorrow and we have ourselves a beautiful future ahead of us. You could throw modern agriculture in that mix as well.
Outlook not so fucking good.

Quote:
But yesterday, under oath, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson admitted that there have been no (as in zero) instances of ground water contamination from fracking, despite the propaganda that has convinced many progressives that fracking is a devil's bargain. Watch the video in which Jackson states: "I'm not aware of any proven case where the fracking process itself has affected water, although there are investigations ongoing."
Frack here. Frack now.

How nice and comfy you are in your snuggly, blissfully consuming energy to post insubstantial complaints about other people using and actually procuring energy.

while im all for staying with the fossil fuels like oil and natural gas for now untill solar/other alternatives become a reality. no one can argue that fracking has to be controlled. would you want to wake up in the morning and drink this:

No, I would not. Now do you want to explain to me why an EPA administrator under Obama and under oath would testify before Congress that there has been no proven case where fracking has contaminated ground water.
I have little doubt that the process is somewhat fraught. Do you know what else is fraught? Living without fossil fuels. Civilization will collapse and billions will die.

Maybe because they all work together? Maybe they think the impact on local life is within reason? Ok so we fuck over this area in order to let the other areas go on as business as usual. u<us
They don't think of consequences, they brush that under the carpet.

I'm sure renewable energy would take over quite easily if fossil fuels became scare. Fossil fuels are much more profitable for investor than renewable energy. Which is why there is very little investment wind turbines and solar technology. The only reason drilling technology has gotten so advance is because they are getting more desperate for resources. So gas and oil companys invest money into finding new ways to drill deeper and maximize profits.
If renewable energy technology became cheap and widely used, oil prices would drop and the high up people in control now would lose their power.
