i dont think it will harm it, i read a post that some guy accidentally left his in for a week and it still pinned and produced fruits. hoewever i dont think that its very safe for that cake as there is a chance it might dround. Put it in a fruiting cchamber and test it out :-D

It was my friend that accidentally dunked 3 cakes for 7 days in the fridge. The 3 cakes out performed all of his other cakes. Not saying anyone should do this, but they definatly didn't die. Good luck.

Unfortunately there is no deffinitive answer for this. Statisticaly, anything over 12 hours is risking failure.

just dunk them for a day(24hrs), give or take a few hours and they'll be fully rehydrated. you don't want to risk the cakes dying on you.

damn 4 1/2 days haha those are gonna be hydro shrooms. If your leaving town or something i suggest dunking from the time you read this to the time you leave wether its minutes or hours it will still help. 4 days might be to much i dont know, it also opens it up to contams more
