I would do coir in a mono, it's easy. Cotams for the most part are not a problem in the "spawn run" if said coir is properly hydrated.

Do it in a sgfc. Learn the ropes, and get good at doing this. Take your time and work your way up to a mono using some grains/coir and what not.

I used a hybrid of sorts - a shotgun tub with only four holes in the top, but large holes at that, filled with polyfil. Opened and used a box fan for FAE about 3-4 times a day. Had good results and was a newbie.
Highly recommend PF Tek / shotgun method to start with your first grow or two. Keep it simple until you get at least 8 cakes to have wonderful fruits.

Fruit your cakes as cakes... if you want bulk do grains, just easier

I have FINALLY written up a couple teks as to how SHP has done things in the past. DISCLAIMER: This is not for the newbie to mycology, and not going to work for everyone! This is simply what works for one person when other teks and methods have failed miserably!

Are you talking about tyndalization, lemonfuzz? I've thought about that. Anyway, for now I'm just trying to learn what to do with cakes. I think I want to split the jars and try both methods and see what works better for me.
