I put this display together for a public festival the university has. I have been posting pics of some the fungi that were on display. I think it went pretty well. I think I turned some people on to trying oysters on their logs in yards and stuff. Here are some pics
and don't forget stickers for the kiddies!

No, just a big dried shitake. The thing in the plastic dome is a old reishi culture (5yrs) from FP. I found it in someones cabinet.

I think that is incredibly cool. The fruiting blocks were well timed, I'd say.
It's so great to see this kind of outreach; So many people base their views of the entire fungal kingdom on button mushrooms or athlete's foot.
Beer might have made a nice addition

Claviceps is not really all that rare, especially in field with rye or wild grasses. It is only a danger to you if you consume it, you can touch it....

This is the guy asking us how to do this? I just saw your spread! Excellent!
You probably spent more on that presentation than I get to order outside med's in a month - and the telling feature is that you are a teacher learning business and not vice versa. Your display is approx. 90% edu and - were you selling anything besides stickers? Because the only thing I couldn't see was the part you get to keep? (i.e. direct and order sales)
- Impulse sales items like pendants - I know, but it helps pay for the continuation....
- Are you able to supply small growers directly? Do they know it? (You already buy from unicorn bag right? Find that sawmill!)
- If you would have had single bags/small "bricks" for $5-$10 (? - your area..) of what we see in the pictures I am willing to bet you would have taken few home.....
- Make and offer your own agars and spawn, yard patches & etc.
But really - just Excellent! If we ever get these almond ports up I'll send you a dish...
