Today I saw some Mushrooms and

YEsterday I was riding a bus north on 15th Avenue NE when I espied a grouping of sun-parched caps of an unusual mushroom.

So day I took a wallk to the spoot and here are the photos.

So the clump of shrooms I noticed fromthe bus had been picked and thrown onto the muclch. So I walked about five feet down and saw these.

I wish I could of got the picture of those other ones, same species, while they were still in the ground.

Anyone here able to te;ll me what they are?

Mj

Heh, 15th NE is like a block away  .  I don't know what they are, but I saw some that appear to be the same species growing down towards the other (south) end of 15th in the same kind of habitat.  I was thinking they were possibly an Agrocybe sp., but I didn't take a spore print or anything.

My first guess would be Agrocybe praecox.

I picked up an Agrocybe yesterday!

I think the split caps are an indication of Agrocybe species. Viscid thought they were for this reason...I see yours have the same kind of split caps that look like they heal.
