I'm fairly certain these are either of the hillbilly strain or the pensacola strain. The caps are hard not to recognize. I can take a spore print later but right now I just want a general shroomery concensus on it. Could anyone possibly confirm for me and if any of you have had experiences with it tell me how it was. thanks here's a pic of them in their early stages
 another
 starting to take form
 another
now compare to this -pensacola strain-
 and this -hill billy strain-
-i took this pic from mynameismud, hope you dont mind-

LOLWUT? Because the caps are cracked? The only thing that yours and the ones in the pics have in common is that the caps are cracking from lack of moisture. It happens to most meaty mushrooms when the fruits endure a dry period. Since when do Psilocybe cubensis grow from mulch and wooden debris? The pics are too bad and your description is non-existent, so we can't give you a proper ID, except for: Your mushrooms are not Psilocybe cubensis.
