So I checked my spot this morning and low and behold...

I'll have better pics tonight I honestly wasn't expecting to find any so i took those pics with my phone. The wife and I are headed out in about 10 mins to pick them.
I found subbs about 5 days ago, (sucked didn't eat enough) and found these today. So happy. 2nd active find. I searched for 1.5 months not finding anything. Their everywhere though Most of them are tiny i.e smaller than a dime.
I've read even the tiny ones will make you trip same as as the large ones is this true? How small is two small? (I'd love to just wait for a day or two) its going to heat up tmro and they all might die :'( and their's so many 100's+ should i just pick em all?

The small ones WILL work, but you can just let them get bigger and pick them later. the small ones are about as potent as the big ones.
This sounds VERY promising man, Im in NE Ohio right now at school, but I'm returning to SW PA next weekend and I cannot fucking wait to check my spots!!!

Doesn't look like ovoids to me, but the pics are small and I'm not an expert.

I agree with you, they don't look quite right. I've seen ovoids growing off branches like that, though. OP should get some better photos, some of gills and other features too.

Clearly not Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata. I've never seen them in person and even I can say that with certainty.

Just wondering... No expert on ovoids
How small is too small? Depends... Nice to let them open... But also have to make the judgement on weather... Hate good mushrooms go to waste... Just my thoughts

Its all up to you man. If the weather is bad and they're drying out, I would just pick most of the small ones, they're going to die anyways. It's just a balancing act.

They don't look anything like those. (i can see where you would get the idea though, crappy pics and all) ... < That's being polite.

Thank you for the vote of confidence divo. If it wasn't for your post i never would of went to look today.
They have the blue foot, Did i jump the gun? hope not, i'm still pretty positve they are considering the area and the amount that are their. If you were me would you take a spore print? And if so can you take them in the fridge so their still ediable? I'd hae to leave them out of the fridge for 24hr's.

you sir need to read a book about general mushroom identification so you know what traits to look for. Only the top of the cap kinda looked like an ovoid (ovoids can look like almost anything). Nothing else was a match. read about how all mushrooms are ID'd so you know how to look for the right traits
