went off with the fam for a little retreat - its such a beautiful place pictures do it no justice the river is spring fed - and super cold - its nice that only tasty trout ( and a few giant muskie) inhabit the waters Leaving the campsite the first morning - i saw this f'n beastly black bear just chillin in the middle of the road it was a solid 350+lbs - glad the black bears in northern WI are pretty friendly - and stay away from people
Walking around the first morning there - i got pretty excited seeing this oyster cluster Then upon closer inspection - EEEEEK - it was INFESTED with a whole f'n family of slugs chomping away at it That same log also had some cool other fungus of some sort ( id would be appreciated ) im not sure if they are old and rotten - but in person they had very pretty colors on the edges of the caps After being sad about that cluster taken by slimy slugs - i spotted this tree a little further down the path These were high enough off the ground to stay free of slugs they were quite bit large and a little old - but OH SOOOOO TASTY i got lucky in one of my fav trout holes landed another 13 inch brook trout- and was able to have a NICE NICE shore lunch i really wish i could do this DAILY
Saw another log with some "unknown to me" pink shelf like fungus - also there was some witches butter on it too ( took the pic for stopwhispering ) Itd be cool to get a proper id on the pink fungus too
i also saw these weird looking "fungus" or something - just all over the rocks and mossy stumps n the same area - it looked like this tuft was in fruiting or making its spores - - -- itd also be cool to get a id on these -
Thanks for looking fellas

HaHa - yep thats some pre-cooked bacon stuffed in the trout thought someone might notice it makes the trout EXTRA tasty and juicy - and the bacon also ends up tasting a little extra "fishy" but in the BEST WAY

AWESOME vjp Thanks man - they are pretty when they get those bright red tips
Did your bro see a black bear??? - sucks it had a hurt paw i always feel bears are pretty good spirits of old native americans
they are almost as illusive as bigfoot over here - but by that trout river there is TONS of food for them - and being sooooooo far off the beaten path - they got LOTS of land to roam free
Thanks for the id brother i wish i took more pics of them
