It's now about 21 days. They seem to colonize fairly slowly First six cups
  The most colonized one.
The small spot on the bottom shrinks sloooowly, can it be bacteria or something?
And could I speed up colonization by holding them at i.e. 24 degrees Celsius. The temperature atm is randomly from 15-25, depending on weather . Loosen the foil or something like that ?

I ll put them on really loosely, that should do the trick ? I m afraid that they will get contaminated, even through the dry verm layer... Like that:
Started to make SG terrarium and found out that this is the only drill I have at home

Take the foil off completely. Those cut out drills you can usually take the cut off off of it if not the drill bit should be long enough that you could drill the holes needed

So this was hiding under the foil on one of my side projects, doesn't look good, doesn't look like mold. Any idea what that is ? The yellow stuff...

And yeah, the "cut off" comes away but the drill still is almost twice as big as I need

Thats some sort of bacteria contam
A cut out drill bit with a half inch drill bit? Im a glazer and highly doubt it. I use these everyday. most cut out drill bits are 1/4 which is the size you need

I wouldn't take the foil off those glasses unless you have lids. From the pictures it doesnt look like you have lids.

Friend suggested that I keep the foil on also, so will do that. But should i throw away the contaminated one or give it a chance ?

Bury it outside is your best bet you arent going to get any shrooms from it any other way

Haven't read much about outdoor grow, but could they grow in compost heap or just in soil(nutritious) ?

Loosening up the foil made wonders, the growth went about 3-4x faster. The same spot:
Also is this fine amount of holes for SG terrarium?

Awesome man Im glad things sped up for you. As long as the holes are 1/4 inch every 2 inchs your holes are fine and that looks like the hole pattern that you have

Birthed first cake yesterday and put it to terrarium today. But my box is quite low so I would like to put it there on the side, like that:
But everyone puts it sitting up like that:

Is there any difference ?

not really, but once you get big fruits it will weigh the cake down on one side or the other, and roll until you have it being supported upright by a mushroom being crushed into the perlite.

Thats not too bad Will try keeping one cake on the side. Will see which ones do better, ones with low space on top or the "rolling" one

they will perform the same. Although you think youll get a better yield by increasing the exposed surface area, youll get just as good if not better yield leaving them upright.
but try what you like!
