They were all like this or worse at the patch. Is this rotting? It doesn't look as bad as other rotting I've seen, as most of them still have their shape and aren't flaking / broken. The gills also seem reasonably intact, and the very dark areas on the photos are mostly shadow. Would it be due to the really damp environment and wet days we've been having?
So, what do you guys think.
I'm certainly no pro but it looks like the cold got to them. As long as there are no signs of anything else (mould) growing on them I'd say they're fine, making a tea with them would be the best way to consume them just to make sure.

Here's some I found on Sunday. It's from a pine plantation I've visited for the last 3 years. Here's a link to a thread I posted about the same place from early June last year>link

I thought so too about the spore deposit.
I liked your pictures in your other thread, some cool finds. Just too tired to post tonight. Was a struggle to even upload my pictures.

i went to big W couldnt find them.. and ebay isnt an option cause i live under the house of parents.
any shop suggestions? and where they are located in a shop... thanks
Don't think the Big W ones will do you any good man, and tobacco shops rip you off big time.
Buy them from china on e bay for around 10 bucks! thats what I did. work fine. save you getting ripped $60-$70 from a tobacco shop for the same thing.
Tell your parents its a xbox control or some shit?

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. Think for yourself. Question authority

don't use kitchen scales, theyre horrendously inaccurate. i compared them with my firearms scales and the kitchen scales were basically a random number. theyre supposedly good kitchen scales too...go figure. get scales at a gunshop or westernfirearms.com.au

you can buy exactly the same scales as on that westernfirearms website for 1/10th of the price on ebay and other websites that source directly from asia.
i bought this guy: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/precision-digital-pocket-scale-100g-max-0-01g-resolution-15002
for $10 including shipping.
I make no guarantees on it, I just ordered it a few days ago, but the website is legit from what I can work out and there are some good reviews on this scale.

I just got a random set off ebay, the postage was more than the price.. Checked them against my mates $200 wanker set and they were 100% accurate. Hooray for Taiwan! On another note, anybody going out to see what that rain pulled up?

Went out east to have a look at a few puppies for my friend, took my bike so i could have a look while I'm out.... Found an absolutely huge patch, which had unfortunately gone rotten It seems that wherever I look now it's "I wonder where the shrooms are" rather than "I wonder if there's shrooms here?"
Started to rain pretty hard so I left quickly, but wow eastern suburbs are covered.

Very nice finds. Excellent colour. How cold is it around your part?
How are everyone's patches fairing? Last week I could still pick quite a few from my regular patches, now though all I find are black rotted ones. I'm assuming it is because this cold front we've had. I live in the eastern suburbs. North Ringwood.
If it starts getting a bit warmer will I see some more do you think.
