How total makes his monotubs!(With Pictures!) 5

After doing quite abit of them, one tends to find tricks/tips to make things easier, So here is the routine that i follow to make my monotubs...
Step #1 Prep your monotub with proper holes... I use (2) 1.5" holes on each of the 2 long sides, and (1) 1.5" hole by each handle...

Step #2 Cut a contractor black trash bag in half, making 2 pieces... Lay one ontop of one bin, and one ontop of another...

Step #3 I cut the very bottom of a bin out, and made a mixing sleeve... Insert the sleeve, forcing the trash bag down inside the bin...

Step #4 Dump your sub in... I personally use 1 brick of coir and 2qts vermiculite, and i pasteurize with Damion5050's Bucket Tek I've found coir to be pretty much fail proof, allowing even sloppy cultivators a contam free sub!
(its generally a good move to lift up on the sleeve at this point, allowing the sub to pull down the trash bag)
Step #5 Dump your spawn in and mix well... With my colonization times and contam rates of my curent iso low, im choosing to do 4qts spawn per brick coir/monotub... This low spawn rate, and works for me...
This is where the sleeve comes in real handy! It allows you to mix your sub and your spawn both fast and even... Even makes for a nice level for getting it even...

Step #6 Remove Sleeve, Cut excess Trash Bag, and stuff with polyfill...

I've found this a fast and efficient way for even one person to spawn a bunch of tubs! I'll add some more notes on this here in abit...

NICE! I've never thought about the sleeve idea... I think that works great for the smaller bins, but the 64 QT tubs i have are too big for the 30 gal trash bags... Might have to start getting smaller tubs for my monos...

Innovation beats the shit out of procrastination. I use those same "clever store" bins. they are Sweeeet. I am pretty sure that they have the best surface area to total interior space ratio of any tub i have ever seen, and i have Shopped Around. Have one Uncut one that i use to mix bulk with spawn, then i dump it into the prepped tub with the trashbag liner. Like your "sleeve" concept, total. Less air exposure than what i am doing, although i have not seen a lot of contamination on bulk substrates, provided that they are not too wet. Will try, looks slick. Nice post in general, Shrooms to ya'.

Yes, for the next 10 or so more tubs... I've got 10 G2G GTRR master jars going in the background!
Im trying to phase out of my B+ crop... People want mushrooms with defining features apparently, so i have a batch of pe6 and PFRS multispore's rocking as well, that im gonna grow out and take some isolated clones...

PE6 looks like a typical cube and redspore is an awesome grow but there isnt a defining characteristic you will be able to notice unless you print them

I was intending to give PE6 a run for potency... As far as the PFRS, my current B+ iso has hallow stipes, so im looking for something more "meatier"... As far as my client(s), they take whatever i feed them... Its YOU guys that want the defining features, and are tired of my B+ prints!
