Second flush crumblling
    #1464918 - 04/16/03 08:46 PM (14 years, 7 months ago)

Hello Everyone,
A mild aquaintance of mine just recently birthed a handful of jars. About all of the pint jars she has birthed took 4 months to innoculate (because of tight lids and tempurature deviations). All of the cakes also pinned while innoculating inside the jars, so large chunks of primordia had to be scaped off the sides of the cakes before being dunked. Two of the cakes have flushed once and are looking blue on the tops. They are approximatly 70% of the size of the other cakes. My aquiantance was wondering if the cakes could be crumbled and cased using the 50/50 tek. She already tried dunking them and syringing water into them. There is 90-100 % humidity and other cakes are thriving.

thanks,
-some ambiguous hypothetical something

you could try crumbling then casing, although your efforts may be fruitless =(, if i was your aquintance i would just say fuck it, eat the cakes and try again... many times if your second flush doesnt come in as expected, it doesnt come at all... sorry to be delivering such sad news =(

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

my cat would advise your freind to definatly crumble and case those babys.
my cat has fruited cakes and then decided to case them, she says caseing is definatly the way to go for anything.

and BAH to the people who say 2nd flush blah blah blah....
when you had pins it was in the jar and they were aborts (i'm assuming) so you really haven't used much of the cake or the nutrients in the cake....if you case now, it will fruit well.

peace
