First of all, found that my favourite Artomyces pyxidatus spots are thriving again, which allowed me to snag this:

and this is the end result of 3 foraging spots:

I also found something, it looks like a chanterelle, am I right?

Are these more Hygrophorus marginatus? they look kinda like it.
Spore print is bright orange, like their gills

I found these, I was hoping for Gyms, but I wasn't holding my breath. The spore print color is rusty orange/brown

I found these stubborn guys on the path I take, they haven't grown at all in the last few days, I don't think they're puffballs, but I don't think they're the amantias either. am I wrong?

Finally, I saw these guys and took their picture, no idea what they are but the look purdy. :smile:

your Gymnopilus is actually a Pluteus. Your last picture is Trametes versicolor. the "chanterelle" pics are too blurry to make any details out so i cant tell you for sure what it is.

are you gonna eat that coral fungus?

nope, not a one lol. sorry man. ive never had them. i guess sauteing them wouldnt be bad. i seem to recall reading that although some species may be edible, they tend to be pretty rough on your stomache. :shrug:

which pluteus is it? some of them are edible. I hear they can be rough on the stomach in big amounts too. Also, stir fry with just oil, or butter? or something different?

I think the "chanterelle" is a Gomphus species or something similar.

Probably Pluteus cervinus. ive seen them get quite pale.

hahah derrr im thinking of Gomphidius. not Gomphus. you could be right

that white one in the blurry picture looks a lot like Gomphus Clavatus but the color is different than anything I've seen (PNW clavatus have a red, fleshy coloration)

definitely gomphus shape

by "gills" could you also say they look more vein/ridge like than typical gills you'd find on any agaric or garden variety mushroom?

if it has regular gills I wouldn't rule out clitocybe.. hard to tell.

no worries man. are you using a phone? got a camera? it should have a macro mode (flower symbol) and try using natural light

it was cloudy from the incoming rain when I took the pictures, and unfortunately, it's from a phone's camera because my nikon got busted by a 6 year old with ODD.

The gills I see look quite normal compared to the gills of all the other mushrooms I listed. they're somewhat closer spaced than other mushrooms, but still big enough to see them.
