I put my judgement with the president, after all he was elected, even though I dont like bush, I will support anything he decides too do, he is our president and I feel all americans should support what the president wants too do, sure war is bad, but its for the greater good, maybe not now, but in 10 years. For the people who are against the war they have a right to protest, but no right to stand in the way (human shields) of what is for the better good of this country...PROTESTERS PLEASE STOP MAKING IT PERSONAL AGAINST BUSH. I hate him also, but if your gonna protest, atleast protest why we shouldnt go to war, not bush. thats anti american for calling your leader evil. Please put more focus on supporting our soldiers who are fighting for YOUR lifes and fredom, weither your for the war or not.

After staring blankly at the screen slack-jawed for a few minutes, my reply:

I put my judgement with the president, after all he was elected,
No, he was appointed by a judge that he knows personally.

even though I dont like bush, I will support anything he decides too do, he is our president and I feel all americans should support what the president wants too do
Think for yourself you big sheep!

sure war is bad, but its for the greater good, maybe not now, but in 10 years.
Isn't that the same excuse they used for the first Gulf War? Has Iraq threated any country in the last 12 years?

PROTESTERS PLEASE STOP MAKING IT PERSONAL AGAINST BUSH.
Wait a second, he's making it personal against us with the Patriot Acts....that's OUR civil rights and liberties he's taking away.

I hate him also
Yet you are willing to agree with his opinions and follow his advice on what America should do. What the hell is wrong with you?

thats anti american for calling your leader evil.
It's anti-american to invade a country, killing thousands of people, based on evidence that we, the American people, cannot see. Its also anti-american to erase our freedoms that were supposed to remain in the constitution indefinately.

Please put more focus on supporting our soldiers who are fighting for YOUR lifes and fredom, weither your for the war or not.
They are not fighting for my life, they are fighting for their own lives which they voluntarily put at risk. Iraq is not, and never was a threat to the US, although there are many government officials who are working very hard to make you think so.

No, I am pretty sure he was elected. Maybe you don't understand the electoral college, but damn at least get the facts straight.

Technically, he was elected. But he certainly did not get the majority of the votes cast by the American people, which is what a DEMOCRACY is all about.

I don't know too much about your system over there, but isn't the election argument a bit weak? There might have been some problems, and maybe he shouldn't have been president, but he had a huge percentage of voters, nearly 50, behind him. Of course, public opinion might be "wrong", but I still think the argument that he wasn't elected is a bit weak because he was not far from it however you put it. Why not focus on your other arguments, and there's loads more where they come from

I don't really make a big deal about him not being elected.  I just correct people when they say that he was.  :smirk:

We are not a democracy.

Bush has won all of the recounts. Even those done by liberals (the unofficial ones).

electoral college: A body of electors chosen to elect the President and Vice President of the United States.

so Bush didn't get the majority of votes of the American people, instead he was appointed by a judge that he had connections to. I don't get it, sry I'm not from the US but I smell a

Oh. In that case the electoral college is a way to help ease the tediousness of counting every individual vote. When a candidate wins a majority for a particular state he gets that states electoral votes. Electoral votes equal the number of Representative plus Senators in our congress. This process ensures that larger states with larger populations (who have more reps and senators) get more attention due to the amount of electoral college votes they carry. When the election is all over, each state government elects someone to go in front of the US congress and vote the "Electoral vote."

That is irrelevant to the fact that our democracy was hijacked.
