from what I gather, more reps will 'sculpt'

like 3x12 or something? that's the rule of thumb all the brofags in my gym go by,anyway. do multiple exercises as well like decline, incline bench and pushups, parallel dips, dumbbell press etc.

but yeah, as vedo said, deadz and squatz will see everything improved. i get all-over pump after my first working set of squatz.

edit: dude you dont need to do the brofag shit, i dare you to give SS a try, give it 3-4 weeks and then get back to me.

bodybuilding is more reps. Its also working out more for the "fill" Either way i  see people doing something like a bodybuilding workout. But dont understand that they are doing wayyyy too fucking much because they arent on cyucles like the "real" bodybuilders.

I wouldn't necessarily say BBing is more reps but definitely all about the fill and people definitely don't seem to realize that the pro BBer's are on constant cycles which allow for amount of lifting they partake in.

Haha I see what you mean man! I guess just not more reps in a single session. I think a lot of people are just fouled by what in fcat BBer's are all about, there is a lot more than what meets the eye with those guys.

Hey if you kept good form brother then that's a damn accomplishment. Breaking those PR's is always a damn good feeling; keep it up!

Well done all, I'm glad this thread is inspiring people to at least start tracking their progress here, hopefully making more people aware of the benefits of powerlifting. Keep up the good work, and by all means don't hesitate to post any logs in here... don't let me hog it all!

Another log;

Had to go to different gym today as our ship is laid up on the other side of the pond, so I went to the one I usually go to in Melbourne.

Worked from 4am-8am, got changed and headed into town.

I got there about 10am, I hadn't eaten since 3:50am, where I had a bowl of oats, all-bran and weet bix with plain yoghurt and honey and protein shake with flax oil. Pre-WO-supp was Mesomorph and Enduro mixed together, what a horrendously pungent taste this is... but the buzz took hold very very quickly and I was soon feeling pins and needles over my entire body.

Started with warm ups.

Squats:
did different warmup weights (in prep for upping my working weight):

20kg (bar) 1x5
40kg 1x5
70kg 1x5
90kg 1x5
and then, once again, broke PR
120kg 3x5

Last set was hard because my belt started pinching my stomach as I was lowering (must have slipped to a bad position around my waist), making it really painful deep in the squat.

Anyway,

then onto Press
20kg (bar) 1x5
30kg 1x5
40kg 3x5
and then tried for 50kg, managed 2x4 (failure), think I will stick at 40kg/45kg next time.

Tried Power Cleans, but realised I am going to need a lot of work, asked a PT and he is going to give me some lessons on Wednesday. So I resorted to

Pendlay Rows (overhand)
40kg 1x8
70kg 3x8 (smashed old PR of 60kg which I could never get past, and my form was awesome)

Chinups
3x8 (unweighted, but that's ok, I'll get there later. I'm still lifting my 110kg frame which is good enough ha)

Weighted Situps
20kg 3x8

Then Pendlay Rows (underhand)
60kg 3x8

Followed by stretching
PWO meal was protein shake, BCAA, Vit B, Vit C, and a huge tray of bento sushi,
Today was a 2 hour session finished at midday, fucking huge. I didn't want to leave but had to get myself out. I am really looking forward to PT lessons on Wednesday, will really need it,followed later by another protein shake, flax oil and BCAA about 3:30pm.

Happy I am still busting plateaus with every session.

I am starting to feel very moody on the tail end of my mesomorph buzz, I've been at work 26 days straight now, getting sick of everyone here. Looking forward to leave and much needed rest where I can focus on my lifting.

funny thing, I went up to the counter and asked one of the guys working there about getting a PT to help me with my form, he's like "so do you want to put on weight or lose weight?"

im like "uh, I dunno I just want to get my form right for my lifts like press and power cleans" and he just says "oh yeah you'll put on heaps of size with those!" to which I said "I'm just trying to build strength atm"

Like every person that goes in there only wants to either a) get massive or b) get ripped/toned, no in betweeners or people who genuinely want to get fit without worrying about their aesthetics. pathetic, but then, it is Prahran.

The PT was an independent (not an 'in-house trainer') and he sounded genuine enough, saying half the trainers in there had no idea what they were talking about and just catered to yuppies, he had relevant certificates in lifting and powerlifting and whatnot and sounded like the goods.

Yeehaw

A coworker of mine's girlfriend got a job at a local gym. She played soccer, has next to no knowledge about lifting, but they trained her to be a personal trainer.

Another coworker hired one, and while he seemed solid recommending squats for adding on size, he had my coworker drinking a gallon of whole milk a day!

Milk isn't even that great of a source for protein anyway considering how much of it you need to drink to get a decent amount.

I drink the hell out of it though.

I'm gonna be starting my next cycle soon. So I'll be postin progress here also then.
