I tried going to a gym last month, but I just wasn't into it (the exercising was great, but it was packed no matter what time of day it was, and it :smellsbadman:). Working out at home is much more appealing to me, so I'm going to torrent p90x and stick with it.
Has anyone here done p90x or a similar program? Did you like? Any advice?

I don't do P90x but I totally hate the gym. The only good thing about the gym is all the equipment, but I've found that using only your body weight, you can achieve great results.
Pushups Pullups Sit ups Bicycling Bicep curls
and that's about all I do and I'm in great shape

Yeah, it's not like I'm taking supplements and trying to get completely ripped or anything. I just want my body to be evenly toned (though a six pack would be chill. )

It's a good program. I did it a long time ago. The main thing I don't really like about it though is it focuses on building muscle while leaning out, which is hard to get good gains on either if you're doing both at the same time.
Building muscle=Burning less calories than consumed.
Leaning out=Burning more than consumed.
It seems to be geared more towards people wanting to change their body type overall, not people focusing on one goal.
And I've seen you, you don't look like you'd be doing this to lose weight,(could be wrong?) so I would say to help get bigger, when they tell you to do body weight exercises like pull ups and pushups, maybe add some weight for a challenge cuz you're not gonna get any bigger doing 30 pushups.
It's gonna be a bitch following the diet for a bit though.

true. maybe 4 sets of 30
my shoulder is fucked up from surgery, but when I was working out I would do 5 sets of 30 (pushups) every other day. 150 situps/crunches every day, ride my bike 10-15 miles a day, and do bicep curls/pullups every other day, usually 5 sets of 10 reps each.
it's really about finding what works for you though. Everyone is different. Everyone heals differently, so you really just need to start slow and find what feels comfortable.

A lot of people will tell you if you just focus hard on the bench press, squat, and dead-lift you'll put on a fair bit of muscle mass. Nobody ever does those exercises at my YMCA. Get a YMCA membership and the free weight section is practically yours (in my experience).

I will if I actually torrent it. My friend has the DVDs and I'm gonna ask if I can copy them. If he says no, then yeah I'll torrent it and post the docs.
