[(for the sic:)sorry, germane tongue slipped out. 'get rid of' I meant]

Yah, I've seen such documentations on tv, too. The poison is relatively harmless and doesn't damage the environment, as it's some plant extract. Those paralyzed fishes, the natives don't catch, will reawake, as far as I remember from it.

What about the fires started to drive game on the plains?

What about the Hindus dropping nuclear weapons from their flying machines (vimana) 5000 years ago?

For the indians on the planes, I think the fire is not such a huge impact on environment, as it happens naturally too...(?)
I just got a hint on that topic here:
"Hunting ‑ The burning of large areas was useful to divert big game (deer, elk, bison) into small unburned areas for easier hunting and provide open prairies/meadows (rather than brush and tall trees) where animals (including ducks and geese) like to dine on fresh, new grass sprouts. Fire was also used to drive game into impoundments, narrow chutes, into rivers or lakes, or over cliffs where the animals could be killed easily. Some tribes used a surround or circle fire to force rabbits and game into small areas. The Seminoles even practiced hunting alligators with fire. Torches were used to spot deer and attract fish. Smoke was used to drive/dislodge raccoons and bears from hiding"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_use_of_fire

As for the hindus, yah, some do massive devastation also on intent to power too...

Nothing weve done has a huge impact on the environment, what are you a bleeding heart liberal type.

If all the terrible things predicted had happened to any degree we'd have been gone long ago.

I say let's party.

Foreal, I will fuck up the environment as much as I damn well please. That is as long as the possible repercussions wouldn't affect me too negatively. I think I'm all good for my limited window of time ahead.

Right, I have no children and any truly negative impact would  happen after I'm gone.  Not my problem.

Yah, that's the old thinking model.

As for Ice:
The old predictions couldn't happen because we didn't have the power to influence the environment much. The content of the predictions stays the same, now our influence rises to make it happen. The damage became acute.
It doesn't matter for what my heart is bleeding for. There can not be the one without the other (liberal/conservative)
