TMAs, also known as trimethoxyamphetamines, are a family of isomeric psychedelic hallucinogenic drugs.
Mescaline or 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine is a naturally-occurring in san pedro and peyote.
these two drugs are similar in structure and in name
here is tma-2

here is mescaline

Does anyone have any experiences with TMA-2 and mescaline that would like to share? Reason i ask is because im contemplating trying TMA-2 cause i hear its kinda similar to mescaline. Any input would b appreciated. Thanks

In your other thread I linked you to PiHKAL. Well the first half of PiHKAL has some interesting stuff about TMA and TMA-2, but unfortunately it is not available online.
If I can make a huge generalization here based on what I have read, and with no experience with TMA or TMA-2, I seem to remember Shulgin describing the TMA series as being similar to mescaline, but with less nausea, and less profound/colorful/meaningful visions. In one chapter he describes a very negative experience with one of the TMA's. He definitely prefers mescaline. You should get PiHKAL if you are interested in these things, definitely.

Also it seems to be rare in todays RC market, I am really curious as to anybody's personal experience with these compounds. I had never heard of them until I read PiHKAL

"TMA-2 has amphetamine" That doesn't really make sense
It is related to amphetamine, and also to mescaline. They are all 'phenethylamines' and Alexander Shulgin's specialty. He started working with the TMA drugs many years ago in the 50s when he was still employed by DOW. When he came across things like DOx, 2C-x, (and also MDMA), he gave up on the TMA's I believe, because the new compounds were considered superior.
