Post surgery and weed

So I had surgery on my ear today (Involved cutting and stitching). Feeling some pretty decent pain now 6hours after. Ive been prescribed and taking Oxycodone but was wondering would it be smart/dumb to smoke weed?
Would smoking reduce recovery? Ive read some places that smoking clogs blood vessels and prevents healing.
In which case, I could make brownies or vape.
So, weed after surgery? yay or nay.

ive heard healing can be slowed down if you smoke... this is definatly true for cigs which cause your bones to heal slower/weaker.
but i dont know about weed. i would be highly suprised if it had any bad effects though.

I'm no doctor, but it seems to me that a little toke or two would be alright. That is, unless it made you cough....

I don't think there are any studies that suggest marijuana will affect healing tissue.
Make an edible or vape.

I'd rather take the weed than the oxy, to be honest. Sure, the oxy will be super effective, but I just don't know about opiates/opioids. I doubt the consumption of any normal amount of weed will have any effect at all on the healing process. For comparison, I blazed on full speed after having had some mouth surgery (2x2 wisdom teeth, 1x apex resection) and I didn't observe any ill or good effects (apart from the obvious sedation/pain relief associated with weed). I did not consume opiates (never have), but made do with some paracetamol and ibuprofen. I know about dry sockets, but didn't experience anything of that sort myself. Since we're talking about ear surgery here, I expect no effects at all.
But of course, smoking is bad at all times

Yeah, just don't smoke it.
That can slow down the process.

thanks for the input. I tried just taking the oxy last night and it helped with the pain but made me feel pretty nauseated and . Ill try vaping later today.
