Mexi-albino problem

Hello all, the people on here have helped my cat in his hobby so well that he has been perusing this sight for several months and this is the first time he has needed some info. So anyway, back to the issue at hand. My cat has obtained a Mexi-albino syringe from a supporting vendor and has tried it on several different substrates (brf, rye and wbs)and have not had any results with any of them. He has two other strains (R-44 and malabar) going that were innocced on the same day and they are thriving. Now he did notice that this syringe didn't have little clumpy masses of spores like the other two did, but he knows that spores are microscopic so he didn't even think twice about it. It has been over 2 weeks and have seen nothing. All jars have been kept at around 75F. Does anyone know why this is happening? Even tried them in LC in 4% honey with same results. Other 2 strains have lovely puffy myc and m.a. has some wispy frail looking strands! Would love to have some wiser than my cat insight!

ya, the mexican albino has real whispy myc for some reason. i grew some on agar, but did not proceed with the strain because of it's whispy myc.

Thanx for the info. Didn't want to keep wasting spores. Is there anything else to try?

i would just let it grow and go for it. even though it has whispy myc, doesn't mean it won't produce mushies. might get into working with agar. all i have is a glove box. i pour all my dishes in it, and everything goes pretty smooth.

Sounds like we will have to upgrade our game. Onward ho to agar!
