Unknown garden fungi.
    #14609286 - 06/13/11 10:22 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

These are growing in my garden, but I can't find anything that looks like them in my field guides. I'll admit, I haven't tried too hard, but, I guess I'm just curious. Gills are yellow and spores looked to be a light yellow/brown color. I'll try to upload moire pics of Thanks for any help, and I hope the pics are getting better.

Any other specimens? Did they have a more distinctive partial veil?

The partial veil was VERY distinctive. It was the first thing I noticed about them, even looking from a slight distance. Some fresh ones are popping up, but most are all dry and old. They are only growing from the grass along the edges, but the soil does have lots of stuff added to it.

The partial veil was just really obvious. It stood out more than anything else, that's all. I think you guys are spot on with the ID, and I thank you all for the information. And happy hunting to all.
