Nervous about tonight's trip!

It's been a while since my last trip, as I was taking a break. My last couple of trips were a little on the rough side, and I attribute that to the fact that the substance was ayahuasca. Tonight, I want to take acid, but I'm a little nervous. If I'm too anxious, I'm not going to do it, but does anyone have advice on how to ease my anxiety to a manageable level?
I can not smoke weed, and I can not drink, because I am on probation.
Thanks in advance friends!

I often get pre-trip anxiety when I haven't tripped in a while, but then once I'm trippin' I usually look back and I'm like "man what was I so worried about? This is awesome!".
I think the most important thing is just to try to relax, and not resist anything that your experiencing. Resisting the trip is bus ticket to a bad trip. If you get uncomfortable while your coming up, try changing the setting your in. Put on some good, positive music (I like Jimi or floyd personally), or a nature show or something calming with good vibes. I also find that getting out of the house and going for a walk can really help, when your feelin' uncomfortable, that's one of my favorite things to do while I'm comin' up especially at night. Just make sure not to take a dose you're not comfortable with.
Good luck bro and good vibes

Cigarettes? Meditation? Music?
Sometimes I feel the anxiety since I only trip once a year, and usually I just try to bottle that shit up, eat my boomers and put some tunes on and think "well there's no turning back so I may as well enjoy myself".
Just tell yourself that you'll be glad you did afterwards.

That's exactly it, I have to realize that afterwards, it will be an experience that I'm happy I had.

Drink some tea. Take some kava. Meditate or try progressive muscular relaxation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_muscle_relaxation (search for a specific guide)
Do that technique whenever you feel uneasy and it will help you to relax your mind. In fact, it's kind of hard to feel anxious when you've relaxed all of your muscles.

Just judging from seeing your posts around the site, I'm sure you're experienced. Not encouraging you to do anything you don't feel comfortable with, but I personally think that if you just dive in headfirst you'll be good to go
Happy tripping, here's a lil something for ya. I've fallen in love with this song all over again the past week.

Yea, what makes this so frustrating is that I've tripped more times than I can count. I consider myself very experienced, so it's annoying that I can't just be ready for this, ya know?
Thanks for the vid, I will certainly listen to it if I decide to dose tonight!

Well bro you said it yourself. You're experienced, you know what's up. Hate to be blunt but you're putting too much thought into this IMO. If you are feeling uneasy, there is NO SHAME in putting it off till this weekend or something. If you think you're just getting some butterflies but are OK to dose, by all means commence!
Haha, if you think about it, be happy you're getting pre-trip jitters! Damn if anyone ever doesn't get a little anticipatory or get the butterflies before tripping then somethings wrong, lol!
IME, if you've planned a trip out, and took the time to manage this time period solely for tripping, you're probably prepared and ready to go.
Like I said, though, if you aren't feeling it tonight, you aren't feeling it tonight. I'm sure it happens to everyone. No shame in waiting for a better time .
And I'm off to bed. Good vibes if you decide to trip

I usually get the pre-trip jitters too.
What I find tends to help is me telling myself it's OK to be nervous and anxious about what you're about to do. It's a natural reaction to the mystical power of what you're about to experience.
Think of why you might be nervous. Sometimes when you actually give it some un-anxious thought, you realize that there's nothing really to worry about.
It'll be a great time if you do or don't dose. And as stated, there's nothing wrong with putting it off. No need to rush things if you might not feel you're ready again yet.

Completely agree. You're so right that giving it rational, logical thought really helps. Great advice, 5 shroom rating coming your way

Breath in for 3 seconds, hold for 5, then breath out for 6. Repeats 5-8 times
Also, I always have pre trip anxiety, and then I always just pass through a painless barrier where I know its going to be a kick ass time, and nothing will go wrong, and I get my 'trip confidence' back. I always start every trip going, "Whoa this is fucking weird.... am I maybe over tripping? Is this the last time....?" then I inevitably always come to "I will never fucking stop tripping, not til the day I die "

I always get pre trip anxiety with mushrooms. Before I take them, my mind is telling me "Do Ketamine instead, its safe and you know what it is going to be like", but I bite the bullet, down those mushrooms. And once I am peaking I am like

Mushrooms are so much more enjoyable than ketamine (for me) and the come down/hangover from ketamine is about 50 times worse than the mushroom "hangover". I love ketamine too though. WHat dose do your normally take and have you ever combined k with mushies or acid?

I don't have alot of pre-trip anxiety with lsd.
Mushrooms and DMT is a whole other story.
I would just find something to keep you occupied after you drop.
I find that dwelling on the fact you just took acid, and waiting on the effects can cause horrible anxiety.
Good Luck!

Taking acid and relaxing on a bed listening to music usually works best for me, the euphoria is unbeatable and the beauty that is lsd is usually enough to constantly generate good vibes. Coming down from lsd is different though, that's when I feel crazy and I go to drawing to get my visions on paper which is always fun and a mind calmer.

I used to draw on acid all the time. I have spent the entire trip drawing on numerous occasions (with quite a few distractions of course).
I like that one, very Daliesque
