seriously. Saying something, studdering, redirecting the question, choosing not to answer. Ron Paul would serenade us with his wisdom.

Sorry, wasn't trying to make a strawman argument, just asking a question. You're right, it is against conservative principles, but we can easily handle NASA's budget with out raising taxes.
To Collie Man; The reason government should handle it is because it's not viable for private industry yet. In order to make it viable in the future, IMO government needs to be involved. Like I said earlier, I have a hard on for space exploration. If the majority thinks we should leave it alone then fine.

Why should they? All that red tape is not productive.
Sometimes an investment in infrastructure pays off big- I'd suggest that the interstate freeway system is an excellent example of a project too big for business, yet ultimately profitable for the nation.
space exploration might pay off the same way. It's already paid for itself, but could also be a huge windfall for the nation.

Exactly. The federal government has a role in things, but not to the extent they are involved right now.

But that's not The Republican Way, and even less is it The Way of Ron Paul.
Dude, I hate to say this, but you might be a liberal.

The government at this point in time doesn't haven't the resources to progress with the speed the private sector can. The motivation is high enough to were competition would be there. Competition leads to innovation.

Before I became a libertarian, I was a liberal. Now, I see waste, fraud, and abuse everywhere. When it comes down to it, I'd much rather live under Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, then the philosophy and practice of the current administration.

Well yeah, me too. Obama is better than Hillary, but other than that I'm not a fan.

Same thing happens to me with liberalism, actual liberals don't like my views, but I'm still to everybody's left.

Yeah, I understand that. I'd have voted for McCain if he was younger, and/or had picked a different VP. Seemed like the best of the bunch.
