uh oh, early birthday...

ok so, I know i am a big time moron, but I mistaked the mycelium for mushrooms heads and birthed one of 3 my cakes early (it was cold here, and took longer then i expected, also the reason i only have 3 cakes is because of limited room, and the cakes are huge, about 2 pints each, as opposed to .5 pints called for in the PF tek)

so now I have 3 options.

(1) Leave it and hope the mycelium grows over the cake, and dosent become infected

(2) throw it out

(3) put it back in the container, after the container has been sterilized.

it was put in a damp box (sterilized water) and anti-bacterical spray was sprayed in the room and closet before i birthed it.

Cut off the uncolonized portion and hope for the best.

Then you are probably pretty much fucked. Better luck next time.
