italian liberty caps???

i'm currently staying in a small farming town in northern italy, close to the alps. i was wandering in some cow pastures for a couple hours today and collected a bunch of mushrooms. they were all growing in little clusters or spaced out a few inches in the shorter grass. are these what i hope they are??? oh ya & a lot of them had slimy caps, but not all.

most of the tops are a red-ish/orange-ish brown, darker at the "nipple". a few are lighter tan and more yellowish, without a prominent "nipple". only one has dark brown gills : \

help, please

:::)))

No they are not. Not even anywhere close. Get back to studying the traits of Psilocybe semilanceata.

My guess is Marasmius oreades.

You couldn't tell anymore, demons and man were related, and some would say the same, but who would like to claim? In time, Gods had even forgot, Demons, too, once love had sought. In times recent I remember, Once I was a man, In my heart I had an ember, I'll relate the best I can but it was snuffed, one distant December. And yet here I stand, no flesh, no bones, no seed or semen, All that's left is this Demon.

And other random mushrooms. Maybe Stropharia.

Yes, most of them, but not all. The one to the left in the last picture is too dark gilled. M. oreades gills never turn that dark. Looks like at least one Stropharia semiglobata has made it into this mixed collection as well.
[EDIT] Beat me to it on the second post.

The few mushrooms I'm familiar with and I've never seen a Stropharia in person to my knowledge. I know you left the ID's for newbs like me to take shots at =D Best game in the world for me. I try to ID before I read responses. Good lookin' out, GK

Marasmius oreades are edible, but there's two/three or more species in your mix there. Stropharia semiglobata are inedible, but have black spores, so are not poisonous as far as I know...but you still don't want to eat them, they'll probably give you indigestion. There's one yellow capped mushroom in there that looks different from the rest, and the Marasmius-looking pins may not be Marasmius pins. If you want to add another mushroom to your diet, that Marasmius oreades would be a not bad mushroom to start with. Read up more on them and learn to ID them on sight. They love lawns and will come back every year for years. Fun mushroom to read up on, it can go completely dry and go into a dormant state, when introduced to moisture again, the cells will live again. Wicked!

Gymnopilus grow on wood. Wrong habitat. They are also generally a lot larger than the lawn mushrooms you've been picking. You really do have some studying to do. Learn the important factors.

I used Paint to show you what mushrooms I think are what. I doubt I got them all, and I left the pins alone.

the yellow one is probably an Agrocybe pediades (another not so edible) as long as it yields brown spores
meh...scratch that...Stropharia it is...the partial veil of A pediades is known to be gone by the time they reach the stage the ones you found are in.
STROPHARIA SEMIGLOBATA FTW!
