My formative years where based in the 80's. My aunt listened to a lot of stuff like Duran Duran.
So I like a lot music that I don't play around other people. The Cure, Depeche mode, the Smiths, and other music that could have landed me a beating in high school . But I was undercover back then, long hair and death metal shirts. It was only my second high school where I would drive up blasting "Everyday is Halloween".

Girl has some awesome songs. Rippin' bassline, and when's the last time you heard somebody say 'fuck' in a song and be talking about fucking?
I agree!
I actually was able to see her live once a couple of years ago. I think she opened for Weezer, but I'm not positive. I remember there was one guy sitting next to my group that was just going crazy dancing during her whole performance, then left before the main act.

I totally know what you mean. For me it's mainstream trance music like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, etc..
Good quality trance music- but not something I play around my friends, unless maybe we're all out of our minds on ecstasy.

I sort of listen to everything, so I'm not really embarrassed about any of it.
Although, I do listen to some stuff that is wayy different from my normal tastes

I got rid of all that shit after like 11th grade, I can't stand "novelty" songs, as I like to call them.

I love a lot of female vocals. 80's / 90's hiphop/electro is another little secret.
Other then that it's mostly electronic music.

80s new wave. i secretly sing along at the top of my lungs when alone in my car.
a lotta good ones mentioned here.
i grew up around 90s pop and rap, so a lot of that stuff could make me nostalgia hardcore.
