I think his parents want the service on the east coast, and I have no money to fly there.  I will probably write something for them to put on a table at the reception or call his parents or something... I'm not sure what to do in this situation to be honest.  It is going to be so weird waking up tomorrow and seeing the world keep going by, unaware that such a bright star had been snuffed out the day before.

Thanks NW

I will do my best to remember him.

I'll smoke a J and play some vids in his honor.

My dad is an architect so i will try to appreciate my dad more and what your friend could have been.

I will do my best to remember when looking down from height how he fell from height metaphorically, and i will do my best to appreciate that I have not fallen myself yet.

Good night everyone thank you so much for your support.  Tomorrow is a new day.

For sure.

Actually, I will go throw it off of something high and let the universe sort it out.

I'm sorry to hear this man. Sometimes death comes by way of really random freak accidents. I bet the moving car's driver feels awful.

I would call his parents or e-mail them with a tid bit on their son and how you'll miss him.

Theres been some great advice in this thread. You'll be ok. Remember him by embodying what you most admired in him so that what he was will always live on.

i have 2 warm beers in my backpack. its a start. thank you for reminding me.  wish i could give him the other one.

idk why but i think itll make me feel better to type some stuff even if nobody ever reads this.

he was a super nice guy.  a good friend.  he helped you out if you needed help.  He went to my college to be an architect, he really wanted to design stuff and he was good at it.

I wish i wouldve been available to hang out with him more when he texted me and i blew him off sometimes if i was busy.  i guess thats normal even between friends but it makes me feel like shit now knowing i gave up an opportunity to hang out with him.

he always did like having a beer at the end of the day, I guess i'll have this warm corona in his honor.  god i feel horrible.

No it's cool, we know how it is. Just remember that shit happens and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

hey... death can be complicated to those who stay, specially the first one you experience. My first were both my parents when I was 6, almost 21 years ago.
You feel anger, you feel pain, you feel revolt when you see that life isn't fair. You feel a void inside you that only time will fill.
But never ever feel remorse for anything that you didn't do or say when you had the chance because that will only eat you up inside, and believe me your friend didn't want you to live like that.
You should honor him by reminding him for the great person he was and the experiences you both went through.
Don't find refuge in any drug, people shouldn't be playing with them when they are vulnerable, even alcohol could numb, as well as it could bring the pain even more.
My advice, the only thing that doesn't depend on you and will help is time.
Celebrate your friends existence and all the good things he was able to make, and all the people he was able to help or just put a smile on their face.
Feel free to unburden as much as you wish, and I hope you all the luck you should need coping with this.

Everyone dies man; everything has a beginning and an end.  Your friend is still extant; just not as you might remember.

I pray that the end of your sorrow comes soon.

I'm right there with you man. My buddy died last week making a 6 hour drive home from a show, fell asleep at the wheel. I've been just horribly depressed. He talked to his daughter on the phone just before it happened and she told him to stop at a motel because he was tired but he said he's almost home. RIP Jazz.

I'm sorry to hear that kind of news man. Like everyone said, it's never easy to lose a friend or a loved one, but in time it will always get better. I'm sure he's spiritually watching you express this pain over losing him, and is incredibly happy that you care enough to feel that way about him leaving your life. It sucks that he had to randomly go like that, but everything does happen for a reason, and has a profound effect on the present and future. Just be thankful for him that he did not have to go through the pain of being paralyzed from the neck down and not be able to respond to you like in some cases.

Hang in there buddy, everything will get better in time. I'll toke a little in respect to him and send some happy vibes your way

I'm sorry to hear that this happened. Such a small accident can have a huge impact. I've lost two friends, one by drowning and other one got run over jaywalking.

I've never known anybody that died my whole life.

This was my first year at college and he was one of my best friends that I met this year.

I don't know how to feel.  It's only been about 20 minutes since i found out.  I keep going between feeling completely normal and crying hysterically.

people, i'm desperate here.  It's too late to wake anybody up and i wont see my girlfriend until tomorrow.

Please help me cope with this somehow.

He blew his mind out in a car... :mushroom2:

Relax my brother. Death sucks but there is nothing to be afraid about or sad about.
He has transcended now and you must continue on your spiritual journey.
All things must pass.
Enjoy them while you have them, but do no become attached.
You are everyone anyone, so just relax, reminisce about him, and spread his name and love.

My uncle died one or two years, it was my first time someone who I was close to and really knew died.
It's a crazy experience.
:yinyang2:

Death is nothing to fear, when death is, you are not.
But then again...
One lives one's death and dies one's life.

The body does; the I does not.

The death of the body is a serious experience indeed but it isn't the "end" of everything.  Only of select phenomena
