Over the past few weeks, the militants have swiftly taken over two towns, including Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan province, and surrounding areas and appear to be pushing farther south, said Yemeni security officials and residents. Increasingly, it appears as if al-Qaeda’s regional affiliate is seeking for the first time to grab and hold large swaths of territory, adding a dangerous dimension to Yemen’s crisis.
Certainly more of a motive for war than anything that was ever happening in Libya. Whose responsibility is this: the United States, or Saudi Arabia?

Yes, and we'll even bring helis in at low altitude for no real reason again instead of just ground pounding. Uber pro strat is go.
Does Saudi Arabia have the military investment to handle it? I always assumed they must spend a lot of their income on turning their desert into a jeweled oasis.

I think so, especially considering how much the U.S. arms them. You'd think this would be a ripe occasion for them to step in themselves, especially considering how much interests they have in Yemen... Anyhow, if it's really Al*Qaida affiliates mucking about there like that, you'd better bet your ass that the U.S. or a proxy like the aforementioned will step in.

unless those Al-Quada people are murdering/raping/pillaging the citizens as they take over these towns, I think you'll be plesantly surprised how well we stay the fuck out of it. Obama ain't gunna head into another country just as election season begins. Unless the above conditions begin.
