Overheating on psychedelics

I've tripped around 10 times on mushrooms and once on LSD. Every time I experience a severe overheating to the point where it feels like I'm going to die(due to physical effects, it's not a cause of anxiety). It goes away on its own in about an hour after the come up. I'm looking for a way to lessen a physical suffering... tried drinking lots of water, wearing less clothes, staying in a shade, tripping in lower temperatures. It helps a bit, but overall it is still very unpleasant/scary. Anyone has any suggestions ? Also, would it be dangerous (considering the difference in water and body temperatures) to spent this hour in cool water, in some shallow lake ?

That has a lot to do with your blood thinning too. Keeping from moving helps with that

sometimes i get this feeling of an electric blanket or something on certain spots on my body its like some kind of warm energy emanating from my body but when i move or touch the spot it goes away but i think you might be having overheating due to the shrooms they are a powerful drug and if you think you are overheating it could cause your body to overheat or at least make you think you are over heating every now and then il trip in a nice warm room but then i start to feel a little cold then i think about it more and i get colder its a strange experience
i dont think its anything to worry about

good vibes and happy tripping

on a really heavy acid trip, I kept thinking that ice water was running out of the sides of my head, and out of my arms and legs. It was shocking.

The best thing you can do to cool your body temp is to wet a towel with cool water and drape it around the back of your neck, as this will cool the blood flowing through the major veins / arteries that run through your neck - this will actually help a lot more than drinking excessive amounts of water for over heating.
If I start getting hot I completely douse my head in cold water, and instead of toweling it off, let it roll down my face / neck and soak the top of my shirt. Be sure to sit down and take deep breaths as well, I try to count to three each breath in / out, this will relax your body and lower your heart rate.

sounds good, thanks
does sitting instead of walking help much ? For some reason I spend this hour moving around a lot, as if trying to run away from it...

The best position for your body if your feeling overwhelmed, is laying on your back with your arms stretched out at your sides, this position allows your lungs to fully expand / absorb more oxygen. Otherwise sitting is definitely better than standing, but your main goal should be to lower your heart rate, and not work yourself into a panic

I always felt too hot when I would do shrooms and I found that running ice over my face makes it better, it also helps to snap one out of a bad trip due to the shock of the cold and the refreshment of it. I was taking a cab home tripping w my friend and it felt like the seats were heated. I was beyond hot and the funniest part is the song " too hot " by kool in the gang was on the radio of the cab and seemed to play forever. LOL!

I've never really experianced this problem. The only time was when I did 2c-e. Dumping ice water on me helped a lot.

Last time I had mushrooms was probably the most I'd ever sweated before in my life. Stomach didn't hurt, and I wasn't anxious, but I feel like it was my body just trying to sweat it out thinking it was a poison.
I was literally drenched.
