Like you wouldn't do what he did if you had his singing.
I guess non-song writers aren't allowed to make music.

Elvis was supposedly a Rosicrucian....

Can you handle the truth?

Apparently you can't since you're paranoid.

Lady Gaga songs bring up emotions of good times from my last girlfriend in high school. She was into it, I was super into her, so when the songs came on at prom and what not it was just flawless victory for both. She got a dude to dance on during the songs, and I got her sexy body rubbed all up against me.
We broke up. I'm too into drugs, she's too into college and chasing the job to retirement. She's moving away soon, and she wants to say goodbye. Bleh.
Breaking up and saying "we can still be friends" is like your dog dying and your mom saying "you can still keep it".

i would do a shit ton of drugs if i had the money he had. what's your point?
and i mention he didn't write a single song because it shows his lack of talent. how can you call someone "the king of rock and roll" when he can't write or play music?

Imagine if she would do some serious music production with someone like Ben Folds, i would pay a high amount to see a Gaga/Ben Folds concert if she sat and sang at a piano for most of her songs

I agree, I just meant a full album of just her with her piano would be pretty enjoyable to me, I dig the video you posted

I don't. You know why? Two reasons, 1. He didn't like being called that, 2. A lot of his songs were just labeled as rock when most weren't, at least in the 50s.
You don't like his music, fine, but he was a hard worker, put in the time to perfect the songs he recorded even when others suggested taking a break, etc.
I'm not denying he wasn't a song writer, but he was a great worker and entertainer. Plus, yeah he wasn't great at instruments, but he actually did work on that and was said to hold his own in jam sessions, and even played solid on the electric guitar live (whether he wrote the licks or not) and didn't have the guitarists do all the work.
What's the point in discrediting Elvis? While musicians today write one album a year and tour, he worked hard on over 700 songs and toured. I don't get the lack of respect. Does it really bother that he didn't write the songs? It's not like the musicians he played with and had success with thought, "I could have had this success with anyone".
Honestly I don't care if you don't like him, but to make him out like he was a lazy worker who had everything handed to him is just being ignorant. I wouldn't be saying all this if I didn't know about him.

Shins said: Lady Gaga; Because occult mind control is okay as long as it's fun.

My brain feels weird ever since I started reading this thread and listening to Lady Gaga

Whoever posted this site earlier on was an intriguing read: http://vigilantcitizen.com/musicbusiness/lady-gaga-the-illuminati-puppet/
I'm speculating what her reasons are for incorporating all this symbolism into her music/persona. To mock the masses that are pretty much brainwashed already? Blatantly stating that she is well aware that as her position as a mainstream popstar that she will undoubtedly exert some sort of influence over many and thus brainwash them into emulating her? Or is it to help spread awareness and wake up the sheeple?
Or maybe she's just doing it for the lulz.
you're welcome. she uses the symbols because they're powerful and signify that she is a willing puppet(i dont know if the illuminati still exist, but now would be the externalization of the hierarchy). her lyrics are full of crap too. you want dance music, infected mushroom all the way. you want illuminati jay-z style corporate sell out crap, go gaga

Do you have some kind of emotional attachment to Gaga that you are subconsciously defending?
It seems a lot more likely that you've an attachment to your peculiar worldview wherein all things are explained as the machinations of an evil elite. The far more difficult to navigate reality is that nobody is really in control.
Sure, there are spheres of power and control like advertising, political action groups, governments, etc, but each of these exist to satisfy all sorts of particular goals that are specific to the whims of the people involved and may or may not overlap with other spheres of human activity.
To state the same idea in words you're more likely to resonate with, I'll quote Alan Moore, who you introduced us to earlier in this thread: "Yes, there is a conspiracy, indeed there are a great number of conspiracies, all tripping each other up… the main thing that I learned about conspiracy theories is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in the conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy, or the grey aliens, or the twelve-foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control, the truth is far more frightening; no-one is in control, the world is rudderless."
Quote:
I'm just warning you.
Dance and have fun to the beat/music.
But don't trust a word she says.
Why, are words the only potentially harmful thing wielded by Gaga? What would be an example of something she says that should not be trusted, would this be found in her lyrics or something she might say in an interview? Throw us a bone in the form of an example?
I would be much more concerned about the further degradation of music by the forms she uses, that is to say her brand of pop will do nothing to advance music in any positive way. Her chord progressions are chosen specifically because they are proven to sell records, not because they advance the art or express something formerly unexpressable.
She could use the major platform she has to introduce more subtle, advanced forms of rhythm to the masses, an effort that could ultimately translate to an advance in human consciousness, but she sticks with the form that makes people want to fuck and consequently ensures the biggest sales possible. This is a much bigger offense in my book than riffing on occult symbolism to build her mystique.
And this is coming from someone who likes Gaga for what she is. I respect her ability and her achievement and I'm also one of the apparent few who thinks she's damn sexy, I even like a few of her tunes. And I don't think she's fucking up our music tradition even worse than it is on purpose, I just think she's ignorant to how she is doing so.

chill out man. i never called him lazy, i said he wasn't talented. i also never said i don't respect him, in fact i do respect him, he did a lot to help rock and country music evolve. i just don't think he is worth all the hype he gets, or the title "king of rock and roll"
