Ate 'em like that at NEMF foray...served with bleu cheese dressing. Not bad.

Meaty mushrooms.

It's the texture that makes them good imo.

Pretty much what Chaos said. It was the Buffalo breading and bleu cheese that made 'em tasty.

I thought I found one the other day, but it turned out to be Bondarzewia berkeleyi.

I found it pretty young though, so I may make a soup with it.

Does anyone know if the mushroom is worth cooking up? It weighs around 3 pounds or so, so I don't think that it will be bitter tasting yet.
