I've got hard wheat that got to %100 colonization yesterday, does it have to wait the extra week to colonize like brf cakes? couldnt seam to find a thread on this

No,grains don't need to consolodate since its spawn and your not fruiting it once its fully colonized you should spawn it to keep it on a roll so to speak

actually I have about 20 pounds of it and don't even have the space to fruit that much. I planned on spawning some coir and manure. With the remaining I planned to spawn straight from the hard wheat. I heard you can do this but the yields are lower. If I was fruiting this right away I would need to wait the consolidating time of a week right?

thats ok. I just want to get a fruit or two. Was doing the BRF cakes but couldn't get them fruiting due to a bad set up. I made an awesome new FC. So, While I was doing all this I let a couple cakes gett %120 colonized and did up some hard wheat. Decided I wanted to try casings at the same time as the cakes. I think my problem on the last cakes were that they had poor humidity. Due to that, I boosted my humidity levels. even if it doesn't stay super humid casings can take slightly lower humidity levels. Figure at least one of the two will work for sure.

thanks. About a month ago I almost threw out everything related to the hobby. After rethinking it. I realized if thousands of teenagers have pulled it off, there's no reason why a 27 year old with a decent budget can't. Anyways thanks for the support and answers

zzantium, what is your new FC? and how low is your rh% actually? true casings can fruit in drier conditions, but fruiting wont be optimal. that microclimate only last on that micro level do you have a or multiple hygrometers?
