?
There's a lot of universe out there.
However, I don't buy the aliens.
If they were here, they would make themselves know.

Maybe all aliens are at the same point of technology that we are in?

There's bound to be life on distant planets man There's just too much room for us to be the only planet with livable conditions. And I guarantee there's a planet or a few planets that are way more advanced than us.

No I dont think so. We are definitely in my opinion not the most advanced that EVER has lived, but in my opinion 9/10 advanced civilizations that emerge destroy themselves almost immediately.( advanced being defined as know how to produce radio waved)
We almost did it in just over 60 years (Cuban missile crisis), which is a blink of the eye in cosmic time.
We never know whats out there man..

There are aliens ranging from RNA-like polymers that catalyse their own replication, bacteria, dumb bugs etc etc, human analogues and most likely species more advanced than humans. Mathematically this statement makes sense.

It is likely that life was conceived before our planet existed as a solid mass. Even though they may be incapable of visiting our planet, there is still a high possibility that they may be more advanced than we are.
And there is likely more than just one "they"
But what if the universe is younger than we think, and we are actually the first "they" to come into existence, and this exact discussion is destined to occur several times over, each thousands of light years apart.
It's all speculation, but it's fun to think about. Can't disprove something we know nothing about.

The universe is like 13 billion years old. It takes a couple of billion years for planets to form then another couple of billion years for life to develop. It's not like the aliens would have more time to evolve than the rest of us.

I dont know man.. the earth formed 4.6B ago, life formed about 3.6-3.9B years ago.. and alot fo that time the earth was too hot and molten to support life anyways
Truth is we dont know how easy it is for life to evolve in the right conditions, it could of arose very quickly and easily or it could of been some fluke of nature, we really don't know

I highly doubt that we are even in the top 100 most advanced planets in the universe...the universe is infinite.

As far as we know... How can a human even possibly guess the age and size of the universe? Hell the universe could be trillions of years old... Nobody knows.

You are kidding right?
Earth and humans are very young compared to the estimated age of the universe. In terms of likelyness there are probably aliens thousands if not millions of years more advanced than us.
I dunno why you would not buy aliens visiting here. Its been reported by every culture since man could ever record. IMO its obvious aliens have visited earth.

yeah were on the EDGE of the milky way.. there is a lot more energy and heat in the middle
its actually not like our planet is small.. maybe small to space but space is curved so time isnt a constant flow
earth is the center of our universe imo

This. I imagine the world as a game of Spore. Spore exaggerates the presence of life to make the game fun but I think that it's a good concept and provides a good picture.
I sure hope we aren't the most advanced planet in the Universe. The mere thought depresses me.
The real answer is that we simply don't know enough yet. Really we've barely begun to deal with space. People say that the earth is overpopulating but IMO that's just a part of life, I think that happens everywhere. DNA does a great job of instinctively urging the consciousness to have sex, build things, and to "advance/progress" as well as create war, rape, stealing, murder, etc.
The human brain being critically underutilized (10ish percent?) plays in to this I think. Humans are incredibly adaptive creatures, not just physically but mentally and intellectually. When new problems arise humans contemplate and ponder leaving most any problem to find itself paired with a solution thanks to human ingenuity.
I think "overpopulation" (which we are no where near; we are in fact experiencing resource deficiencies which is something COMPLETELY different) is a part of beginning the colonization of space.
And I think other species have gone through this process before because of fractalization. Just as there are creatures that we know of that are "lesser" than human beings in some respects it only makes sense that there are creatures which are "greater" than human beings in some respects.
As above, so below; or rather in reverse this time ^_^. Microscopy and astronomy further prove the point.

Is it though? There's no possible way for you to know that. But if it was infinite, there would be an infinite number of civilisations more advanced than us. There would be an infinite number of planets exactly the same as ours. There'd even be an infinite number of planets made entirely of human feces. But I don't think the universe is infinite, it's too unlikely I think.
