ID please - Melbourne

Went back to the patch I've been visiting but somebody else has come along and pretty much destroyed it. However upon searching a little more I came across what appears to be another patch of subs not 5m from the original one. These are pretty old but it'd be good to get a 100% ID on them anyway.

Habitat:
Tanbark, close to a patch of subs that I am 100% sure about, leafy tanbark type environment under gum tree.

Gills:
Brown (keeping in mind these are pretty old shrooms), attached.

Stem:
2-4 cm long, 5-8mm diameter, white, firm, thickish.

Cap:
2-4 cm wide, caramel to very dark brown (again, old shrooms), spherical.

Bruising:
Blue visible along stems, most of the caps are too old/dark to tell.

Other information:
No unusual scent. Photos provided

Cheers.

Well, to my eyes those do look like dryed out subs. As long as they exhibit bruising then they should be good to go, plus you said they came from the same habitat which increases the chance they are subs.

Still, if you want furthur confirmation wait for a TI

There crusty old sub's as mentioned.
If you hanging out for a trip, Il eat only the best looking ones and make use of the stems. They wouldnt be so bad as some of those caps in stomach turning YUK!
